Alex Ikwechegh: Reps launch probe into lawmaker for assaulting cab driver

The House of Representatives has launched an investigation into allegations against Alex Ikwechegh, the representative for Aba North/South Federal Constituency in Abia State.

A viral video shows Ikwechegh assaulting a Bolt driver, Stephen Abuwatseya, while boasting that he could make the driver “disappear” without consequence.

He further claimed that even the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, would not be able to protect the driver from him.

The incident has triggered public outrage, with many calling for justice for the assaulted driver.
