IPOB set Deputy Speaker, monarch, PG’s houses ablaze
Daredevil gunmen wreaked havoc in Mbosi community, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, burning down the homes of prominent leaders, including the President-General of the community, Hon. Azuka Innocent Okolie, and the federal lawmaker representing Ihiala Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Dr. Paschal Arinzechukwu Agbodike.
The President-General, Hon. Azuka Innocent Okolie, recounted his ordeal, stating that his home was attacked and completely razed at midnight on 21st December 2024. “Everything I own has been reduced to ashes. My family and I are left with nothing,” he lamented.
Okolie expressed his determination to ensure that those responsible for the attack face the full weight of the law. In a message to Chief Barr. Titus Nnabuike Akpudo, the National President of the Anambra State Association of Town Unions (ASATU), he condemned the senseless violence and called for swift action to bring the culprits to justice.

“The cowardly attack on my home marks the end of your reign of terror. I vow to ensure that the law catches up with you, and you will face the full weight of justice for your destructive actions. Your crimes will not go unpunished,” Okolie declared.
The attack on Hon. Dr. Paschal Agbodike’s residence in the same community added to the escalating tension in the area, with locals expressing fear over the growing insecurity.
The perpetrators, suspected to be linked to violent groups terrorizing the region, are yet to be apprehended. Residents are calling on security agencies to take immediate and decisive action to restore peace and order in Mbosi and surrounding areas.
As investigations continue, the affected leaders remain resolute in their pursuit of justice, vowing that the culprits will be held accountable for their actions.
