NDA alerts public on fake admission letters circulating online
The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has warned the public about the circulation of fraudulent admission letters being shared on social media and messaging platforms.
In a statement issued by the Academy’s Director of Public Relations and Information, Brigadier General Bamidele Shafa, the NDA cautioned prospective applicants and their families to be wary of fake letters claiming to offer admission into the Academy’s programmes.
Brig-Gen Shafa explained that the Academy’s official admission process is strictly managed through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal and the NDA’s official website. He reiterated that no unsolicited or hand-delivered acceptance letters are issued outside these channels.

The NDA urged members of the public to verify admission status only through official platforms, warning that individuals spreading or paying for fake letters may be engaging in fraudulent schemes that could lead to financial loss or legal consequences.
The Academy also advised against clicking links from unverified sources and encouraged prospective candidates to report any suspicious communication to the NDA’s admissions office or appropriate authorities.
Brig-Gen Shafa emphasised that the alert is part of the Academy’s ongoing effort to protect the integrity of its admissions process and safeguard applicants from exploitation by unscrupulous parties.
