Iran issues strong warning as US military presence expands in Middle East
Iran has reacted sharply to what it described as an escalating United States military build-up in the Middle East, warning that any attack on its territory or interests would trigger an “all-out war.”
A senior Iranian official, speaking to international media, said Tehran is closely monitoring the deployment of additional US military assets to the region, including warships and air power, stressing that Iran’s armed forces have been placed on high alert.
According to the official, Iran would not differentiate between a limited or large-scale strike. “Any form of aggression, regardless of how it is described, will be treated as a full-scale war, and Iran will respond decisively,” the official said.

The warning follows reports of increased US troop movements and naval deployments across key Middle Eastern locations amid heightened regional tensions. Former US President Donald Trump had earlier stated that the United States was positioning military forces to protect its strategic interests, while maintaining that Washington does not seek conflict.
Iranian authorities, however, accused the US of fueling instability in the region and cautioned that continued military pressure could lead to uncontrollable consequences. Tehran reaffirmed its readiness to defend its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and allies.
The development has raised concerns among regional and global observers, with analysts warning that miscalculations could spark a wider conflict involving multiple countries in the Middle East.

Diplomatic efforts to ease tensions have so far shown limited progress, as both sides maintain hardline positions amid growing military posturing.
