Yobe Focal Person’s Office empowers 100 women through skills acquisition programme (Pictures)
The Office of the Focal Person, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Yobe State, has launched a competency-based skills acquisition programme to empower young women across the state.
The initiative is in line with the economic empowerment drive of the administration of His Excellency, Hon. Mai Mala Buni.
Under the leadership of Abubakar Adamu Fika, the MSME Focal Office has successfully trained and graduated the first batch of 100 young women in Fashion Design, Computer Applications, Catering Services, Throw Pillow Production, and Bedsheet Making.
The scheme equips participants with practical, hands-on skills to promote entrepreneurship, self-reliance, and improved employability among underserved youth.
A second batch of 100 young women is currently undergoing training, further demonstrating the state government’s commitment to inclusive growth and sustainable livelihood development.
