President Muhammadu Buhari has described the meeting with leaders of APC and PDP as a mark of strength and growth in Nigeria’s democracy.
“Today’s Meeting with PDP & APC was not a political gathering, but a symbol of our unity and an expression of the maturity of our democracy.”
Nigeria’s President met with the leaders of his party, the ruling All Progressives Congress and that of the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party on Friday in Abuja.
The meeting held at the State House in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

The President said he was “full of gratitude to the leaders of the PDP and APC for finding time from their busy schedules to visit me and welcome me back home.”
The President’s meeting with the party leaders was also followed by a meeting with governors of the 36 states of the federation.
