The CW series ‘The Flash’ has suspended production on its seventh season in Vancouver after a crew member tested positive for the coronavirus.
The crew member, who is asymptomatic, took the test as Warner Bros. TV has implemented ongoing testing on the set of its shows, insiders told Deadline on Sunday.
Contact tracing is ongoing for the cast and crew of the series, insiders told the outlet, to try and suss out who was closely in contact with the crew member. Producers are looking at whether production can continue with a scaled-down crew if enough people don’t have to quarantine.
The superhero program’s initial production schedule was already behind after local testing facilities in Vancouver had delays processing all of the incoming coronavirus tests.
The show returned to Vancouver early last month to resume production, Deadline previously reported, joining other CW series including Batwoman, Riverdale and Supergirl.
