Kano 2023: Kwankwaso endorses Abba for PDP governorship ticket

Story from Saleh INUWA, Kano

After much extensive consultation and brainstorming, Former Governor of Kano State Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has said to have to endorse Engr. Abba Kabir popularly called Abba Gida Gida to contest for Governorship of Kano on PDP ticket again in 2023.

During the just-concluded Sallah festival, Kwankwaso took time and spent one week in Kano and during the period, he commissioned a committee of experts to advise him on who among those wanting to be Governor of Kano on PDP Ticket 2023 will easily be marketable and accepted by the populace.

Similarly, a committee of seven men committee was also set up at Kwankwaso’s instance and inaugurated by Alhaji Wada Sagagi, Kano PDP Chairman sent, a clear signal to Bello Yusuf Danbatta, Yunusa Dangwani, both Commissioners when Kwankwaso was governor to drop their ambition or be expelled from the party, as the report had it then, they were undermining Abba’s chances for 2023 contest.

Neptune Prime reports exclusively from the Kwankwaso Camp in Kano that after long deliberation, it was agreed that none of the APC Governorship front Runners in Kano for 2023 can defeat Abba and his running mate Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam.

Those working hard to succeed Ganduje from the APC side include; the Deputy Governor, Yusuf Gawuna, Kano Commissioner for Local Government Sule Garo, Senator Barau Jibrin and Alhaji A. A Zaura, a billionaire and close friend to Emir Ado Bayero.

In Kano Politics, according to the analysis by the Kwankwasiyya Group, they have four (4) camps, the Late Abubakar Rimi Group, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau Group, Kwankwaso Group, and Ganduje Group. Though most of those in the Ganduje group including Ganduje himself are products of Kwankwasiyya PDP.

Similarly, our correspondent was told that Kwankwaso who is working hard to get PDP Ticket for the presidency in 2023 has directed before leaving Kano recently that all those wishing to see him should see Abba or his Deputy, all those that want to contribute to the party should do so through Abba or his Deputy because they are his anointed Candidates for 2023.

Also, Abba Gida Gida, sources said, since 2019 to date, has made a lot of money from Kwankwaso’s contacts and friends who are now Governors, senators, reps, Ambassadors, and ministers through contracts and personal donations, in fact, Neptune Prime can confidently report that one of the former Secretary of Petroleum Technology Trust Fund offered to give Kwankwaso 3 billion cash for the Governorship ticket.

Also, sources hinted that during the Sallah period, 80% of actors and actresses in Kannywood that pay homage to Kwankwaso told him that apart from Abba, they will not promote any candidate that the party may give ticket to in 2023.
