Following His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni’s approval, Government Model Boarding Primary School, Dazigau, in Nangere Local Government Area of the state has been converted and upgraded to a permanent orientation camp for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in the state.

The governor, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Youths, Sports, Social and Community Development, Galtima Mai Ali, stated this during the contract signing agreement for the renovation of the school on Thursday, October 24th  in Nangere.

He said that the state government found it crucial to provide a permanent orientation camp in the state following the suspension of orientation exercise at the former camp in Fika due to insurgents’ activities.

Buni also stressed that his administration was committed to the attainment of NYSC Scheme objectives in the state

In his remarks, the contractor handling the renovation and upgrading, Alhaji Ibrahim Adamu, Chairman of Bazam MFRI Construction Company, Nigeria Ltd, promised to get the job done within the stipulated time of two months, saying the work had already commenced.

In her remarks, the Coordinator of NYSC in Yobe state, Mrs. Grace Adzer, thanked the state government for the gesture, saying the provision of the permanent orientation camp will enable an increase in the number of corps members to be deployed to the state.
