Don’t drag us into Kano APC crisis – Presidency

Don’t drag us into Kano APC crisis – Presidency

Story from Saleh INUWA, Kano

The Presidency in Abuja has issued stern warning to Senator Shekarau and Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of APC faction in Kano about draging the federal government  into their crisis, saying that the President as the father of APC and leader of all Nigerians belongs to the entire party and not just a faction in Kano State.

Speaking through his Senior Special Assistant on Media Alhaji Garba Shehu, President Muhammadu Buhari said when Ahmad Danzago a factional APC leader in Kano visited him, he did not categorically congratulated him over his election but received him and wished him well in his entire pursuits.

Shehu said Danzago was Buhari’s former CPC Chairman in Kano State, so he has no reason to refuse seeing him, he assured that the President will never comment on any controversial issue that is still in court.

It could be recalled that when Ahmad Danzago visited Buhari in the Villa last week, he came out and announced that the President congratulated him over his election as APC Chairman in Kano State, this has compelled Governor Ganduje to quickly ran to Abuja and complained to the President that to endorse Danzago when they are still in court is not fair to him, and seek that the issue be corrected so that it would not demoralized the President’s supporters in Kano.
