Top commanders of Bello Turji, Kachala Auta, Kachalla Ruga, other bandits killed by NAF aircraft in Zamfara

Two top commanders of Bello Turji, namely; Kachala Auta and Kachalla Ruga were killed alongside dozens of other bandits during a massive bombing by fighter jets of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) in Zamfara forest on New Year.

The notorious bandit commanders met their end after a NAF aircraft under operation Hadarin Daji acted on credible information and bombed the bandits at Gusami forest and Tsamre villages in Birnin Magaji Area of the state on Saturday.

Multiple air strikes carried out by the Air force also led to many loss of lives by the bandits. In the pictures attached, men of Turji boys were seen with dangerous weapons. Turji was seen sitting in Police uniform while Kachalla Auta was the one sitting in a safari dress.

Our correspondent can report based on findings from sources from the area that dozens of bandits who had gathered at late Kachalla Auta’s resident for his burial were also struck by missiles of the Military Jet and many were killed in the process.

A military officer was quoted telling the press that for now the whereabouts of other notorious bandits, like Alhaji Nashama, Shingi and Halilu who may be seriously wounded are on the run, but no one can tell where they have ran to. Meanwhile their overall commander, Bello Turji who received several bullets had escaped and is said to be hiding in one of his girlfriend’s village around Turji area. This attack was one of the most dangerous of recent by the Nigerian Air Force.
