The academic community of Ahmadu Bello Univeristy, Zaria, has been thrown into sorrow and regret after the painful death of a student, simply identified as Khadijah, from a snake bite while reading for exams in a bushy area at the main campus in Samaru, Zaria.
The female student, Khadija, was found dead on Sunday at the back of a conference hall built by Tetfund close to ICSA/Ramat hostel.
The university authority in deep pain has however advised students to be careful of places to read and have banned reading in bushy areas.
The lady has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
