Abuja man strangles wife to death, goes into hiding with their 5 children
A horrifying incident of domestic violence has unfolded in Abuja, as Ezeagu John M., a resident of Bwari, was confirmed to have strangled his wife, Ogechi John, to death.
The victim had recently visited her family in Jos before returning to her matrimonial home in Bwari, where she was tragically murdered.

Ogechi’s family, hailing from the Okeke family in Obowo Local Government Area of Imo State, has filed a petition with the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, urging him to personally oversee the investigation into their daughter’s murder.
Following the murder, Ezeagu John M. allegedly went into hiding with their children, separating them from their aunt and grandparents. The case has now been reported to the office of the IGP.
Ogechi, a graduate in optometry from Imo State University, belonged to the Umuariam Obowo community. She leaves behind five children.
