APC begins statewide e-registration training in Yobe
Story by Sa’adatu Maina, Damaturu
In a decisive move to modernise its grassroots operations, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State has conducted a comprehensive training programme for its digital registration task force.

The event, which took place at the Summit Conference Hall in Damaturu, brought together the party’s key technical personnel.
Attendees included Zonal Administrators, all 17 Local Government Area (LGA) Coordinators, and 178 Ward Technical Agents, forming the backbone of the party’s new digital membership drive.
The training, themed “Focusing on Technology & Modernisation,” centred on the practical use of the APC’s newly launched membership e-registration platform.
The initiative is captured by the slogans “APC Digital Leap: Powering Membership, Perfecting Progress” and “E-Registration: The Future of APC Membership, Today.”

Ambassador Adam K. Mohammed, Founder of the party’s E-Campaign and Voters Education Directorate, served as the lead speaker and trainer.
He guided participants through the technical and operational aspects of the digital enrollment system, emphasising its role in building a more accurate, accessible, and modern party register.
“The core objective is ‘Connecting the Base: Mastering the Tools of Digital Enrollment,” a party official said.
“This training empowers our ward-level agents to directly capture member data electronically, ensuring efficiency and reducing errors associated with manual methods,” said the state APC party chairman, Alhaji Mohammad Gadaka.

The successful rollout of the e-registration system across Yobe’s 178 wards is expected to set a template for similar digital transformations within the party at the national level.
With the technical teams now trained, the APC is set to commence a widespread sensitisation campaign to encourage all existing and prospective members to enroll on the new digital platform.
