A former governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the 2015 general election, Dr. Alex Otti, on Thursday picked nomination forms to vie for the Abia state gubernatorial seat in 2019.
Otti was received at the National Secretariat in Abuja by the National Secretary of the party, Chief Labaran Maku.
He vowed to take back the 2015 mandate which “he narrowly lost” through legal fireworks to the incumbent Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu.
“I won my election as governor of Abia State in 2015, but due to legal contingencies, I lost the case at the Supreme Court”, he said.
“The good news is that the present government has failed as nothing has been done to rescue Abia State from the rot that exist in the state since they came into power.
“The battle is about rescuing Abia State from the few who have held the state captive and giving it back to those who own it”, he stated.
“When elected as governor of the state, there will be a transparent management of resources, create enabling environment for people to develop, massive investment in education and health”, he said.
“My supporters in Abia State are much ready to vote me again in 2019 and I am more than ready to unseat Ikpeazu and recover my mandate”, Otti insisted.
