Bandits abduct Niger State Commissioner of Information

Alhaji Mohammed Idris, the Niger State Commissioner of Information and Strategy, has been abducted at Tafa local government area of the state.

Mary Noel-Berje, the Chief Press Secretary of the State Governor, confirmed this in a statement made available to Neptune Prime on Monday.

The Commissioner was said to have been kidnapped by bandits at about one o’clock in the early hours of today from his home at Baban Tunga village in Tafa local government of the State.

However, the statement added that security agencies are already on the trail of the bandits and hope to trace and rescue him unhurt.
