The men of the Nigerian Police force Bauchi state command have arrested a 21-year-old young man, known as Ishaku from Dass local government area of Bauchi state, has allegedly killed his friend, Zeloti John over a girlfriend.
It was gathered that the incident occurred in a drinking joint in Dass on Friday 29 May.
Ishaku reportedly stabbed Zeloti with a knife in three different parts of his body following an argument over who was the “real boyfriend of the girl”.
Bauchi State Police Command’s spokesperson DSP Ahmed Wakili confirmed the incident and also revealed that Zeloti John was rushed to the Dass General Hospital where he was confirmed dead. He was buried on Monday, 1 June.
Wakili said the suspect has been arrested as the investigation is ongoing to uncover the remote and immediate cause of the murder.
In other news, a family was thrown into mourning after their son, identified as Chisom Eze, allegedly killed his elder brother, identified as Henry, at their residence located at Johnson Street, Alaba, Lagos over N100 soft drink.
It was reported that it all began after, Chisom stepped out, leaving his drink, only to return to discover that his brother, Henry has drunk his soft drink, which greatly infuriated him.
