Bobrisky entered Kirikiri prison with ₦35m to bribe wardens – Baale of Kirikiri
More revelations have emerged about Bobrisky’s escapades in prison after the cross dresser allegedly smuggled ATMs into prison
The controversial social media influencer was sentenced to six months imprisonment for spraying the naira and taken to the Ikoyi Custodial Centre on April 12, 2024.
Bobrisky, also known as Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, was said to have smuggled the luxurious accessories into the correctional centre to get on the good side of warden officials, and get preferential treatments.
According to a recent statement delivered by the Baale of Kirikiri Town, Chief Babalola Shabi, popularly known as “Baale No-Nonsense,”, Bobrisky made POS transactions running to the tune of 35 million naira.
He said this during a town hall meeting organised by the Lagos State Police Command on Saturday, April 5.

He said, “Before the truth came out, everyone believed he was in Kirikiri serving his time. But the reality is that Bobrisky was living comfortably outside the prison walls, thanks to a criminal collaboration involving some officials.”
He added that the prison officials in question approached the POS workers, to withdraw funds from the crossdresser’s ATM cards.
“I personally called in the EFCC after I summoned the POS operators to my palace. From there, they were able to trace the transactions and decode the money trail,”
“It was shocking how ₦35 million could be sourced from around here so quickly. Clearly, this was not a one-man job. The officials who aided him have been suspended,” Shabi added.
He also explained how he was almost dragged into the matter by the DSS and EFCC.
“The DSS first invited me for questioning, and I told them everything I knew. The EFCC also reached out, and I gave them my full cooperation. As a community leader, I cannot allow this type of impunity to go unchecked.
In an audio which went viral weeks ago, Bobrisky had revealed a certain “Godfather”, alongside the now suspended prison officials made sure he served his six months in a private apartment.
