Story from Musa GAMBO, Maiduguri

Boko Haram insurgents who kidnapped a bride and her bridesmaids on the Maiduguri – Damaturu highway on Friday, 26/02/2021 have released them at around 1 am today.

According to Honourable Nasiru Hassan Yusuf, an uncle to the bride, who spoke exclusively to Neptune Prime, the kidnappers did not collect ransom or anything from them.

He said after interviewing them and going through their phones and having satisfied themselves with their interrogations, they directed the captives to a nearby village around the bush.

From there, the surprised but happy captives made calls to their homes and requested to be picked up.

“They trekked to Mainok in the morning where they waited to be picked up by the groom’s family and some security personnel”, according to a source.

Honourable Yusuf has confirmed to Neptune Prime that the bride, Fatsuma, is now at home in Damaturu for onward delivery to her husband having been checked and given a clean bill of health at the hospital.

Among the released, includes Hajiya Amina, wife of late Kyari Sandabe.
