A corps member who recently came back from orientation camp of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) moved her mother to tears of joy with a military salute when she got home.
The corps member, fully kitted in her NYSC uniform marched towards her mother then saluted her, saying:
“Three hearty cheers to my mother for single-handedly raising me, training me, sending me to school till I became a corper.”
The corps member’s voice shook with emotions as she saluted her mother. Her mother was also in tears and is seen wiping at her eyes in the video.
When the daughter was done with the salute, her mother hugged her as the two were drenched in their emotion.
So many comments and reactions have been flooding in from different people including the former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili who also praised the mother and daughter when the video was shared on Twitter.
Ezekwesili wrote: “This video is everything. Unfettered gratitude from a wonderful daughter to an obviously sacrificial and awesome mom. Our God shall give wind to this family’s sails and take them to the highest fulfilment of purpose. Beautiful people”
