Court orders police to investigate Kannywood artists, Safara’u, others

The Kano State Upper Shari’a Court Bichi has directed the Kano police command to launch an investigation on Mr 442, Safiyya Yusuf (Safara’u), Ado Gwanja and seven others
Neptune Prime reports that this was contained in a petition sent to the command by the court dated August 30, 2022.
Others in the petition are Dan Maraya, Amude Booth, Kawu Dan Sarki, Murja Ibrahim, Ummi Shakira, Samha M Inuwa and Babiyana.
The petition was written by nine lawyers who pleaded with the court to grant the order of investigation against the artists.
It could be recalled that recently Ado Gwanja released a new song titled ‘Asosa’ which generated controversy and condemnation.
