Court remands man for assaulting young girl with razor blade 

An Ikeja Magistrates’ Court has remanded one suspect linked to the grievous assault of a minor in Lagos State.

According to reports, the suspect, identified as Temitope Olamoru was arrested for using a razor blade to attack and injure a young girl in Lagos state.

The incident reportedly happened on March 12 at approximately 10:15 p.m. on Faiusi Street, Ajegunle, in the Alakuko area of Lagos.

During the hearing, the prosecuting counsel, police inspector, SP Josephine Ikhayere, told the court that Olamoru’s attack on the girl left deep cuts on her face, neck, and hand.

“The defendant unlawfully attempted to murder Iremide Olawale by attacking her with a razor blade, causing grievous injuries,” Ikhayere stated.

Presiding Magistrate Lateef Owolabi ordered the defendant’s remand and adjourned the case until April 14 for further proceedings.
