COVID-19: Buhari orders evaluation of plant-based cough mixture as possible treatment

Nigerian Government on Friday, 8th May, 2020 directed the evaluation of a plant-based cough mixture as a possible treatment for COVID-19.

Presidential spokesman Bashir Ahmed tweeted on Friday saying:

“The Federal Government has directed the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) to carry out necessary procedures for the assessment of a plant-based cough mixture as a possible treatment for COVID-19”

Ahmed however did not mention which plant-based cough mixture will be assessed
