A senior leader of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church has appealed to Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, to intensify efforts toward the immediate release of worshippers abducted during a recent attack on the church in Ejiba, Yagba West Local Government Area.

Gunmen had stormed the church during a service, kidnapping the pastor, his wife, and several congregants, sparking widespread concern across the community. The church leader, in a statement, called on the state government and security agencies to act swiftly and ensure the safe return of all victims.

The Kogi State Government has announced that coordinated rescue operations and a state-wide manhunt are already underway. Security agencies have also heightened surveillance around worship centres across the state.
