EFCC searches Dangote Head Office over forex deal with Emefiele

In a recent development, operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have conducted a search operation at the Lagos head office of the Dangote Group.

The focus of the search revolves around forex allocations to the company during the tenure of Godwin Emefiele as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

The spokesperson for the EFCC, Dele Oyewale, confirmed the ongoing search.

However, sources within the Dangote head office revealed that the EFCC operatives are specifically requesting documents related to foreign exchange transactions with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Further details on this matter are expected to emerge shortly as the investigation unfolds.
