Ekiti court grants Farotimi ₦50m bail

The Federal High Court in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, has granted lawyer and human rights activist, Dele Farotimi, a bail of ₦50 million.

The court’s decision was shared by Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress in the 2023 election, on his X handle on Monday.

“The first hurdle has been crossed. #DeleFarotimi was granted bail with a surety of ₦50 million in like sum, with someone possessing landed property. The case has been adjourned to January 29, 2025,” the tweet stated.
