EndBadGovernance: 1-million-man protest set to rock 36 states, FCT on Saturday

The EndBadGovernance movement, led by the Take It Back Movement (TIB), has announced plans for a massive one-million-man protest across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Saturday, August 10, 2024. This protest is a significant development in their campaign, which began on August 1.

Mr. Sanyaolu Juwon, National Coordinator of TIB, stated: “This event marks a critical juncture in our nationwide EndBadGovernanceInNigeria campaign. What started as a 10-day protest has now evolved into a widespread movement.”

The protests, which aim to highlight the hardships faced by citizens, have continued despite President Bola Tinubu’s recent appeal for protesters to pause and give his administration more time.

Although the protests have faced some challenges, including disruptions by criminal elements, they have garnered substantial participation, particularly in northern states.

Juwon emphasised the growing scale of the movement, which has attracted attention both within Nigeria and from the diaspora, underscoring the ongoing public dissatisfaction with current governance.
