Ex-Katsina sole administrator dies at 78

An ex sole administrator of Katsina state and Assistant Inspector General of Police, Alhaji Hamisu Ali Jos, is dead.

Ali Jos was confirmed dead early Tuesday morning at a hospital in India.

His death was confirmed by his younger brother Honourable Hamza Ali.

Hanza said, “From Allah, we are and unto Him, we shall return. Our elder brother, former AIG Hamisu Ali, has reached his time after a protracted illness in a hospital at India where he was receiving treatment since December 2019”.

In 1999, the late Ali Jos served as AIG in Zone 2. Before then, he was a Commissioner of Police in Katsina State Police Command.

He also served as Katsina State sole administrator under the leadership of late General Sani Abacha.

Hamza Ali, said late Ali Jos, died at the age of 78. Left behind to mourn him is one wife and six children.

He also said that the burial arrangement will be announced later.
