Explosion at Abuja School kills 1 student, Injures 4 others
A devastating explosion at an Islamiyyah school in the Kuchibiyi community of the Bwari Area Council, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has claimed the life of one student and left four others in critical condition.
The incident occurred around noon on Monday, January 6, 2025, sending shockwaves through the community located approximately 42 kilometers from Abuja’s city center.

Emergency response teams, including the police bomb disposal squad, promptly arrived at the scene, and the injured students were rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care.
Preliminary reports suggest that the deceased may have been carrying what is believed to be an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) when it detonated, leading to this tragic event.
