Gadaka calls for sustained APC victory as Alhaji Baba Malam Wali emerges winner of governorship primary

The Yobe State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Mohammad Gadaka, on Thursday cast his vote at Goge Collection Centre in Gadaka Town, Fika Local Government Area.
Gadaka also monitored the party’s governorship primary election across Fika Local Government Area.
At the conclusion of voting, the consensus candidate, Alhaji Baba Malam Wali, secured 7,181 votes.
All other governorship aspirants recorded zero votes, with several of them notably absent from the exercise.
Speaking to journalists after casting his ballot, Gadaka expressed satisfaction with the voter turnout and urged the people of Yobe State to replicate the same enthusiasm during the general election.
“I am impressed with the large turnout we have seen here today. This shows the commitment of our party faithful to the democratic process,” Gadaka said.
He called on everyone to come out in similar numbers during the general election to ensure continued victory for the APC.
The primary, which was held peacefully across the state, reaffirmed the party’s consensus arrangement, with Wali emerging as the clear choice of delegates at the Gadaka centre.
Efforts to reach representatives of the absent aspirants for comment were unsuccessful as of press time.
