Ghana Police arrest 26-year-old man who allegedly murdered his lover, attempts suicide

The Ghana Police Force has arrested a man who allegedly killed his girlfriend and attempted to take his own life.

Jay Dordorye reportedly murdered 25-year-old Harriet Kafui Ahiati and then attempted to commit suicide twice.

The 26-year-old was said to have slit his girlfriend’s throat and then tried hanging himself, and when that didn’t work, he stabbed himself in the stomach twice, but he still did not die.

Jay is currently being treated at the Volta Regional Hospital after he was arrested by the Ho Municipal Police command.

It is still unclear what led to the murder of Harriet Kafui Ahiati and why Jay attempted to take his own life.
