Troops arrest suspected female ISWAP collaborator at military checkpoint in Borno state

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested a suspected female collaborator of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State.

The suspect was apprehended at a military checkpoint during a routine security operation carried out by troops as part of ongoing counter-insurgency efforts in the North-East.

Security sources disclosed that the woman is believed to have links with Boko Haram/ISWAP elements operating around the Lake Chad region and is currently undergoing interrogation by military authorities.

The arrest is part of intensified operations by security forces aimed at dismantling terrorist networks, disrupting logistics supply chains, and tracking individuals suspected of aiding insurgents across Borno State and neighbouring communities.

Military authorities said troops have continued to sustain coordinated offensives against insurgent groups in the region, leading to the arrest of suspected informants, collaborators, and logistics couriers linked to terrorist activities.
