Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf launches Hasiya Bayero paediatrics hospital, Kano

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has inaugurated the Hasiya Bayero Paediatrics Hospital, a significant step towards enhancing healthcare services in Kano State.
The hospital, now the largest paediatric facility in both Kano State and the country, aims to prioritize children’s well-being and address the region’s unmet healthcare needs.

Established in August 1990, the Hasiya Bayero Paediatrics Hospital provides a wide array of services, including consultations, surgeries, immunizations, as well as research and training programs.
Despite past challenges, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf emphasized the state government’s dedication to revitalizing the hospital, transforming it into a beacon of hope for families seeking paediatric care.
“We cannot continue to ignore the health needs of our children. Hasiya Bayero Pediatrics Hospital will once again become a beacon of hope for families in need of pediatric care,” Governor Abba asserted.
Acknowledging the shortage of medical professionals across the state, Governor Abba assured the public that the hospital underwent comprehensive renovation and now meets international standards. Rigorous efforts have been made to recruit qualified personnel, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care to patients.
Governor Abba expressed gratitude to the State Commissioner for Health and commended ongoing initiatives to enhance healthcare services.
He emphasized the importance of accountability and announced surprise visits to assess care quality and address emerging issues.
The presence of the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, underscored the commitment of key stakeholders in Kano State’s healthcare progress.
