The investors took turns to make their respective presentations to the state government for conviction.

The state governor, who was represented by the deputy governor, Alhaji Aminu Alkali, appreciated the investors and expressed optimism for the huge investment potential that will be anchored on the thoughtful initiative to move the state to the expected developmental level in the future.

Earlier, the state government highlighted some of the state’s developmental visions and missions in a booklet titled “Taraba State Investment Potentials: Moving Taraba Forward”.

The booklet succinctly highlighted the preponderance of adequate natural resources found within the state, including Uranium, Limestone, Gypsum, Gemstones, Kaolin, Gold etc.

The government also underscored the agricultural enabling environment and the hospitality industry & tourism etc, which have earned the state its maxim/motto of “NATURE GIFT TO THE NATION”.

The critical areas of investment intent by the visiting investors are power generation (conventional and green energy), technological innovation in education, waste management, and digital economy etc.

A major investor during the business summit that made a significant presentation was Maylidia and Co Consortium, led by the chairman, a former Nigerian federal legislator, Honourable Chidi Nwogu, who spoke on behalf of all the investors and used the opportunity to greatly commend the state governor for the partnership intended to expand the developmental frontiers of Taraba State.

At the end of the successful exercise, participating teams were treated to a sumptuous State Banquet at the Government Algon Resort by the Taraba State Government.
