Governor Abubakar Sani Bello is saddened by the sudden death of Alhaji Isah Lakpene the coordinator of Forestry.
In a press release by Mary Noel-Berje, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Niger State, Governor Sani Bello in his condolence message said he received the report of Alhaji Lakpene’s death with great shock.
The Governor explained that the deceased would be greatly missed especially with the dedication and zeal that he was carrying out his function in combating and guarding the felling of trees to checkmate deforestation.
He described him as a rare grassroots political mobilizer who was friendly and accommodating.
The Governor sympathized with his family and close associates, explaining that his death was not a loss for only Bida Emirate but the State as a whole.
He prayed to God Almighty to forgive his transgressions and grant him Aljannah Firdausi.
The Governor urged the family to take solace in the fact that Allah gives and takes life as well as be consoled with the good work and dedicated life that the late Lakpene lived in advancing good governance and service to humanity.
