Group honours police officer for outstanding performance in Gombe
A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) in Gombe State known as ‘Arewanmu Duniyarmu’ has presented an award of excellence to GRD 1 Sergeant Ahmed Yusuf, a traffic personnel of Gombe State Police Command Motor Traffic Division (MTD), for outstanding performance in the discharge of his duties.
According to a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, Gombe Police Command ASP Mahid Muazu Abubakar, the group said the award was in recognition of Sergeant Ahmed’s selfless service to humanity and Nigeria as a whole.
Abubakar said “The Commissioner of Police Gombe State Command, CP Ishola Babatunde Babaita, congratuled Sergeant Yusuf for the award and urged other officers to emulate the celebrant.
The award presentation took place at the Multipurpose Hall, College of Nursing and Midwifery Gombe. And was attended by the Commissioner of Police Gombe State Command CP Ishola Babatunde Babaita, Psc FDMSS, AC Admin, OC MTD Sp Ibrahim EtanDa, among other senior officers and men of the Nigeria Police.
