A pastor with the Deeper Life Church, Mayomi Ogedengbe, has been reportedly abducted by some unknown gunmen in Ondo State.

The pastor was said to be in the church premises in Akure South Local government Area when he was abducted on Monday night, May 10.

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Tee-Leo Ikoro, who confirmed the incident said efforts are being made to rescue the pastor from his abductors.

“He was abducted last night around 8 o’clock within the church premises,” Ikoro said.

According to him, the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Bolaji Amidu Salami, has ordered that tactical teamwork with other security agencies in the state commence a rescue operation in the release of the pastor.
