Gunmen abduct family of 3 from Abuja bedroom

A group of suspected kidnappers believed to be hoodlums have attacked the Chikakore area of Kubwa in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory.

They abducted a man, his wife, son, and two others.

According to a local resident, about 30 armed kidnappers, carrying AK-47 rifles, stormed the neighborhood around midnight on Monday. They targeted the home of Adefija Micheal Akinropo, kidnapping him, his wife, son, and elder brother.

The kidnappers then moved to a nearby poultry farm, where they abducted another man and injured his wife.

The Byazin police station responded to the scene, but no contact has been made with the victims’ families by the kidnappers so far.

When reached for comment, FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent Josephine Adeh, mentioned she was on her way to the office and would return the call once she arrived.

As of the time of filing this report, she had not yet followed up.
