Hamas rejects U.S. plan for Palestinian relocation

Hamas has firmly rejected a proposal by former US President Donald Trump to relocate Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to Egypt and Jordan, calling it an attempt to undermine the Palestinian cause and forcibly displace its people.

In a statement issued on Monday, Hamas condemned the plan as an “aggressive scheme” that disregards the historical and national rights of Palestinians.

The group emphasized that Palestinians, who have endured years of conflict and displacement, remain steadfast in their commitment to their homeland. “The Palestinian people will not accept any plan that seeks to uproot or displace them,” the statement declared, according to reports.

Hamas also called on the US to end its support for Israeli policies, which the group claims violate Palestinian rights. Additionally, Hamas urged Arab and Islamic countries, particularly Egypt and Jordan, to reject the relocation plan and help in rebuilding Gaza while supporting the Palestinian right to remain on their land.
