Horrific Incident in Asaba: Deeper life church member assaults wife with pestle
A disturbing incident has emerged in Asaba, Delta State, as Christopher Onyemali, a lawyer and member of the Deeper Life Church, reportedly attacked his wife leading to severe injuries.
The victim, identified as Anabel Ogechi Onyemali, sustained injuries to her head and is currently hospitalised following the assault.
According to reports, this was not the first instance of domestic violence within the household, as Christopher had allegedly been subjecting his wife to physical abuse on numerous occasions.

Despite the repeated assaults, Anabel chose to stay in hopes that her husband would change his ways.
In a shocking turn of events on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, Christopher reportedly struck his wife’s head with a pestle, causing serious harm, before fleeing the scene.
He is currently evading authorities and has even gone as far as to make threatening calls to the victim’s family members from his undisclosed location.
The community and law enforcement are urged to be on the lookout for Christopher Onyemali and ensure that justice is served for Anabel Ogechi Onyemali.
