How a bank worker died 12 days after taking COVID-19 vaccine in Delta

One Mike Ajibike working for a commercial bank in Uzoro Delta State has reportedly died after taking COVID-19 vaccine.

Reports say Ajibike was believed to have received the vaccine on September 10 alongside other staff members, but he became ill shortly afterward.

He was transferred to the Central Hospital in Warri, where he died, according to a family relative.

Before his death, the deceased was claimed to be among those who had recently been called to the bar and was working on his Master of Laws (LLM).

“Mike Ajibike became ill after taking the COVID-19 vaccine which the office arranged for all its workers on September 10, 2021, and was admitted to the hospital on September 11,” says a family member.

“He was in the hospital till September 22 when he died. The vaccine was given to him in the office alongside other colleagues of his on the order of the Zenith bank Plc. He took the COVID-19 vaccine in the office a few weeks ago and thereafter started complaining of not feeling well. We quickly took him to the Central Hospital, Warri and he never recovered.”

Late Ajibike was in his forties and he is survived by his wife, children and mother.
