How Kannywood actors, producers shun Rahma Sadau’s birthday bash

Story from Saleh INUWA, Kano

Normally in Kannywood, it is a tradition whenever an actor or actress is celebrating his/her birthday, members of the industry will set that particular day aside to celebrate, they will eat, dance, take photographs and present gifts, ranging from exotic cars, cakes and money in cash.

In the over 15years of Kannywood existence, there has never been a time members of the industry shun a particular birthday party of their member, as it is most time an avenue for them to reunite with each other, especially the married females who maybe scarce from the industry due to family obligations.

However, when actress Rahma Sadau celebrated her 27th birthday last week, no single member of the industry was seen to celebrate with her, most of those who attended the event lament their absence and the poor planning of the event, others who spoke to our correspondent said they did not go because the actress depicts herself as the best actress in Kannywood, alleging her to be very stubborn and pompous.

To mark the occasion, Rahma went to Kano where she hired a photographer and arranged with small crowd, she was later captured spreading money on those in attendance alone to prove to those that avoided her party that she is still popular, even Ali Nuhu that brought her into the industry was nowhere near the event.

However, the actress has decided to ignore the expulsion imposed on her by MOPPAN, and started shooting her series film, ‘Matar Aure’.
