Mohammed Ali Kwara, the eldest son of late Ali Kwara, a famous armed robbers’ hunter, has explained that they continued with all the businesses of their father even after his death. They have been exporting hide and skin to Spain, Australia and other European countries.

He further disclosed that they pay their partners across the country for livestock hide and skin, which are renewable resources for national and international significance. These are taken to Kano for exporting to countries like Spain, Australia, Brazil, the United Kingdom and others that need them.

He said the business is a lucrative one that one can start even with N10,000 capital. “Our representatives bought hide and skin at N700 and when they brought it to us, we bought it at N1,000,” he said. Presently, we would buy the hide and skin of ram at the cost N1,600, and our representatives would buy it below N1,600.”

Mohammed said the family is also into the business of oil and gas contracts, “because when my father died, there were some contracts that he had started executing but didn’t finish. After his death, we decided to continue with the contracts.”

We have finished three contracts out of the number of contracts we inherited, among which are fencing of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Permanent Site, Gubi Campus, which was awarded to him by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund TETFUND. We have also finished building a Model Primary School at Mashema in Itas Gadau Local Government Area of Bauchi State, as well as the completion of the building of Faculty of Management Science at College of Education Gashua.

Mohammed expressed his gratitude to the Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, the friends of his father and the entire society for the cooperation and support they have been giving to the family since the death of late Ali Kwara.
