I removed my testicles to kill my sexual urge – Medical student dropout

Terhemen Anongo, a 44-year-old medical student dropout has given reasons why he removed his two testicles.

Anongo, who had the dream of becoming a medical doctor, dropped out from the University of Ibadan (UI) due to lack of funds to further his studies.

Aside from his aspiration of becoming a medical doctor, Anongo had a deficiency he was battling with – hypersexuality, better known as high libido.

Anongo’s story was first reported in March 2021 when he removed one of his testicles while he was still in school, saying he was battling with high sexual urge as he does not have a wife.

Also, he is deeply into religion and read about Origen Adamantius, one of the early church leaders from Egypt who paid to be castrated to do away with the sexual urge, according to the report.

“I attempted to do the same thing which led me to remove my right testicle but I bled heavily and had to rush to the hospital,” Anongo said.

The cart pusher said he went to remove the second testicle because of his religious belief.

He told his friend who is a reporter not to disclose it to anyone but he went ahead. He removed the testicle himself after learning from the first one.

He mentioned that there is someone who comes to dress it for him.

The 44-year-old said he wants the healing of the wound so he can remove the stitches.
