Ajiya Yerima Idriss (Idriss Maina Waziri), the Tiida of Fika, who has been battling with kidney problems for some time, has died yesterday at the age of 59 years.
According to Ahmed Maina Waziri, his junior brother, the Tiida, born on the 23rd of November, 1958, studied Common Law at the University of Maiduguri between May 1982 and June 1985.
Prior to that he had attended Government Secondary School, Biu and the Borno College of Basic Studies (BOCOBS)
He joined the Nigeria Customs Service after his university education and until his death, he was the Deputy Comptroller, Admin., at the Tin Can Port, Apapa, Lagos.
He is survived by his wife Hajiya Fatima Idriss and 3 children, Ibrahim Idriss Waziri, Amir Idriss Waziri and Ismail (Hanif) Idriss waziri. He has since been buried in Kano. May his soul rest in peace.
