Iran to stage “Mighty” war games to bolster defence readiness
Iran has announced plans to conduct a series of large-scale military exercises in the coming days, aimed at showcasing its offensive and defensive capabilities.
Speaking at a meeting of senior Iranian military commanders on Wednesday, Major General Gholam Ali Rashid, commander of the Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters, revealed that the meticulously planned drills are intended to prepare Iran’s Armed Forces to face potential threats.
“These war games will incorporate innovative strategies and advanced weaponry to send a clear message to our enemies,” General Rashid stated. He stressed that while Iran’s defence doctrine does not permit initiating conflicts, it remains committed to maintaining readiness against any hostile actions.
The exercises, described as both “offensive and defensive,” aim to test the operational synergy of Iran’s military units under the coordination of the Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters.
The drills are expected to feature advanced weaponry and tactics designed to surprise adversaries and reaffirm Iran’s military strength.

General Rashid highlighted the importance of staying prepared in a volatile region, noting that military readiness acts as a deterrent against aggression.
As a critical arm of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, the Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters oversees the strategic planning and coordination of military operations across different branches. It plays a pivotal role in ensuring operational efficiency and adaptability during times of peace and conflict.
