Kaduna girl solves 34 maths problems under 3 minutes, emerges top scorer

A brilliant 13-year-old Nigerian girl, Nasara James Dabo, has won the International Mathematical Olympiad training (IMO) after solving 34 mathematical questions in less than 3 minutes.

Nasara James Dabo, a Kaduna State indigene and student of Ideal International College, Kaduna, made it to the final stage as one of the youngest at the event after showcasing her excellent performance in mathematics.

According to Article Liner, the brilliant girl finished the contest garnering a total score of 145 points, solving 34 Mathematical questions in 172 seconds (less than 3 minutes).

She emerged the top scorer, beating over 150 selected participants in the “Junior Category”, as first place & the Olympiad Champion.

She was honoured with a gold medal for her feat and remarkable dedication to mathematics studies.

The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) is a mathematical competition for middle school and high school students in which students compete in events that test their knowledge of algebra and pre-calculus problems.
