Kano entrepreneurs revolutionise tech-sector with local USB cable production
Young entrepreneurs in Kano State, Nigeria, have launched a local initiative to manufacture USB cables for phones and tablets, marking a significant step towards reducing the nation’s dependency on imported tech accessories.
This groundbreaking development has been met with widespread support on social media. Bashir Katarko, one of the leading entrepreneurs behind the initiative, shared that they offer various USB cables of high quality at competitive prices for both wholesale and retail.
The move has sparked optimism among many Nigerians. A social media user remarked, “This is a welcomed development. Nigeria needs to transition from being a consumption-driven nation to one focused on production to ensure progress. I hope the government supports these producers rather than squandering resources on less impactful projects.”
