Kwankwaso in EFCC net over alleged N10 billion fraud

Former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, is being interrogated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of pension fraud.

Kwankwaso, who is also a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, was first invited by the EFCC in September but failed to honour the invitation.

The PDP chieftain was said to have been invited for question following a petition from some retirees.

An official of the anti-graft agency confirmed the presence of Kwankwaso at the Commission’s Headquarters, saying he is responding to questions on alleged fraud following a series of petitions the EFCC received against him.

In one of such petitions, the former governor was accused of diverting N10 billion meant for the payment of pensions and construction of houses.
