Lone protester begins early demonstration in Kano (Pictures)
An elderly man courageously took to the streets of Kano to begin his protest.
Dressed in white attire, he was seen marching along the Farawa-Marriri axis of the bustling Maiduguri highway, carrying placards inscribed with messages in Hausa.

“The suffering is too much; we must register our grievances,” “It’s our right to do so.”
However, major streets in Kano were empty, but officers from the Nigeria Police Force and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps were stationed at strategic locations to ensure safety.
